Designing a Display That Gets Picked Up
After twenty years of building fixtures we have learned that three numbers decide whether a retail display works.
Reach height
The sellable band sits between 900 mm and 1,500 mm from the floor. Anything above is storage, anything below is a stoop.
Facings per metre
A four-sided spinner gives 3–4× the facings of a flat shelf in the same footprint — the cheapest way to add SKUs.
Load per shelf
Plan 15–20 kg per shelf for general merchandise; specify 30 kg+ for liquids, tools and hardware.
We will happily review your planogram or shop drawing and suggest where a fixture is fighting the customer — that advice is free when you order from us.

Retail Display Questions
Straight answers to what buyers usually ask before ordering.
Can you supply a complete shop fit-out, not just single fixtures?
Yes. Send the floor plan and the product list; we quote the full package — floor units, wall systems, checkout displays and accessories — with a phased delivery schedule so your shop can open section by section.
How do I choose between pegboard and gridwall?
Pegboard gives a solid backing and a cleaner look, and takes standard 1/4 inch or 6 mm hooks. Gridwall is lighter, cheaper to ship and lets product be seen from both sides. Most of our customers use pegboard for premium ranges and gridwall for promotional ends.
What lead time should I plan for a seasonal promotion?
Allow 25–35 days for production plus 25–35 days sea freight. For a promotion with a fixed date we recommend ordering 90 days ahead, or shipping part of the order by air.
Do you print our brand on the display?
Yes — headers, side panels, shelf strips and base wraps. We print from your AI or PDF artwork and send a digital proof before production; a physical pre-production sample is available on request.
Can the displays be flat-packed to save freight?
Most floor units and pegboard towers are designed to flat-pack, which typically cuts freight volume by 40–60 % compared with assembled shipping. Assembly takes 5–10 minutes per unit with the supplied instructions.
